- Everyone Welcome and the Intolerance Paradox
-We welcome all Earpers who welcome all Earpers. That means this is an inclusive space, no matter your age, race, sex, gender, orientation, or which ships you prefer. The only thing we don't welcome is bigotry/intolerance. Per the intolerance paradox, to keep this space welcoming for all, we cannot allow people who are unwelcoming or excluding towards others. As long as you're not out to harm or demean people and you're an Earper, you're welcome here.
- Kindness and "Do no harm, but take no shit"
-We are all about kindness here. You'll find Earpers readily support each other and show beautiful displays of community and togetherness. We typically respect each other and lift each other up.That's super encouraged, and is something very needed in todays world. But neither that, nor the rule above, mean that you have to let people walk all over you. Nor does it mean you can't say 'no' or disagree with someone, or bring up when you feel someone is pushing out of line/crossing boundaries. As has been said "Kindness does not equal Niceness". You will probably have people address your posts if you bring up something that crosses one of the rules, such as shipping the actors vs the characters or disrespecting people's privacy.
- Severity of reaction befits severity of infracton
-If you are found deliberately crossing boundaries, being maliciously disruptive, trolling, or bullying, we will start with an advisory post, move to a warning, then move to limit your access to the forum, and finally escalating to a ban, either temporary or permanent as situation calls for. However we reserve the right to jump right to any step in the list, up to and including permabans, if the situation calls for it. We do not anticipate having to do this often.
- Try to keep on topic
-Conversations have a natural flow to them, of course, and can go in dozens of different directions as they meander along. That said, try to keep an eye on where you start a new post/thread so everyone knows, more or less, where to go to find the topics they want to see.
- Earp it up! Have Fun!
-This forum is about celebrating the show we love and each other, without having to scroll past dozens of AdPosts and bots (hopefully. We'll do our best to weed those out if they show up) So get in there and get Earping!
- More rules to be added as necessary, pending forum approval.
